Rome, GA - The Rome Braves defeated the Lexington Legends 4-3 Wednesday afternoon in ten innings at State Mutual Stadium in front of 2,608 fans. It was Rome's fourth consecutive victory and 11th in their last 14 games.

Lexington jumped on the board with single runs in first, second, and third innings to take a 3-0 lead. Rome inched closer with a run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly RBI by Yohan Silva to make the score 3-1. The Braves pushed two runs across the plate in the eighth inning on two bases loaded walks after two outs evening the score at 3-3.

In the tenth Phillip Britton singled to lead off the inning and was advanced to second on a sacrifice by Silva. Travis Jones was intentionally walked and a wild pitch later advanced both base runners. Brandon Hicks was also intentionally walked to load the bases. After Jon Mark Owings grounded into a force play, Tyler Flowers hit a hard ground ball to third baseman Koby Clemens. Clemens was unable to field the ball cleanly thus allowing Jones to score the winning run.

Tyler Wilson picks up the win (5-3) while Chad Wagler is tagged with the loss (8-5).
