
Braves Split with Hickory after Sunday Win

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves (7-18) defeated the Hickory Crawdads (15-10) on Sunday afternoon by a score of 9-4 to take split in the four game series at two games apiece.
Rome got started in the third on a two run triple by Johan Camargo for the 2-0 lead. The Braves offensive continued in the fifth when Victor Reyes reached on a single and was plated on a fielder's choice by Reed Harper. Harper scored when Connor Lien (2) launched a homer down the left field line to bring the Braves lead to 5-0. Rome would add two more runs in the fifth and single runs in the sixth and seventh. Hickory notched three runs in the seventh and a single run in the eight but the Braves pitching staff would not be denied and held the Crawdads off for the final 9-4 victory.
Brandon Barker (1-1) gets his first professional win while Akeem Bostick (5-5) gets the loss.
Roster Move: Rome announces that RHP Michael Flores has been transferred to Danville while RHP Matt Weaver comes to Rome from Danville. Roster is at 25 players.
