Braves Fall Big to the Tourists 13-1

Rome, GA - Asheville's eleven run first inning was too much to overcome as Rome fell Sunday afternoon 13-1 at State Mutual Stadium. Last minute starter Alex Grosser lasted a third of an inning surrendering eight runs on five hits before being relieved by Mitchell Osnowitz who went 2.2 innings giving up three runs on four hits.

The eleven run first inning included a two run home run by Forrest Wall, RBI doubles by Roberto Ramos and Ryan Stephens, RBI singles by Max White, Cesar Galvez, and Omar Carrizales, and a sacrifice fly RBI by Wall. Asheville added single runs in the third and sixth before Rome dented the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh on Stephen Gaylor's run scoring double for the 13-1 final.

Jesus Tinco (4-0) gets the win going five shutout innings and Grosser (4-6) gets the loss.
