Hickory would get on the board in the top of the third as Tucker Mitchell would connect on a single that drove in Daniel Mateo. Rome would equalize by scoring on a wild pitch from Emiliano Teodo. Hickory would jump back in front with a Max Acosta home run, and a Rome rally would fall short. Handing Rome a three run to two loss.

Rome would tack on four more runs to jump out to a nine to nothing lead. Hickory would claw back by scoring one run in the forth, and two runs in the sixth, but the rally would fall short.
