Rome, GA - The Greenville Drive couldn't hold on to an early lead in Tuesday's series finale against the Rome Braves, as the Braves began their come back in the middle innings and came away with a 4-3 victory.

The Drive (2-4, 27-48) broke a scoreless tie in the top of the third thanks to the top of the lineup. Lorenzo Cedrola doubled to left to bring home Everlouis Lozada, who singled to begin the inning, and Ryan Fitzgerald followed with a two-run homer to right field to make the score 3-0.

That lead disappeared thanks to a pair of Rome (3-3, 43-32) home runs in the middle innings. Drew Waters smacked a solo homer in the fifth to put the Braves on the scoreboard, and Austin Bush delivered a two-run homer in the sixth to tie the game at three.

The Braves then took the lead in the seventh against Juan Florentino (5-2). Marcos Almonte singled with one out and later scored on an RBI double by Riley Delgado.

Freddy Tarnok (4-0) was dominant in relief for the Braves, as he struck out five over four scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and one walk to get the win.

Fitzgerald's homer was his second of the season. Cedrola and Lozada picked up two hits apiece for Greenville.

The Drive's road trip continues on Wednesday as they begin a three-game series in North Augusta against the Augusta GreenJackets, a San Francisco Giants affiliate. First pitch is at 7:05. Left-hander Enmanuel De Jesus (2-0, 3.35) takes the ball for the Drive in the opener, and right-hander Garrett Cave (4-3, 4.34) starts for the GreenJackets.
