Braves Blanked by Sand Gnats 6-0

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves lost to the Savannah Sand Gnats 6-0 Thursday evening before a crowd of 2,291 fans.

The Sand Gnats jumped on the board early in the first. After three straight singles by Brandon Brown, T.J. Rivera and Dustin Lawley and a walk to Travis Taijeron would plate Brown. Rivera later scored in the inning on a groundout by Brain Harrison for the 2-0 tally. While the Braves bats stayed silent, Savannah would go on to score single runs in the second, fourth, fifth and seventh innings to take the game by a final 6-0 score.

Savannah's Michael Fulmer (4-3) pitched a gem of a game against the Braves, only giving up three hits and no runs in seven innings. Greg Ross (0-5) for the Braves put in four innings of work, yielding five runs and eight runs and stayed winless on season.
