Kannapolis, NC;Kannapolis (8-18) lost to Rome (12-15), by a final score of 3-0, Thursday at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.

Jeff Lynam went 7 scoreless for the Braves, en route to his 5th win of the season. Clayton Richard worked 6 strong for the I's, allowing just 2 ER; but got no run support in his 5th loss of the season. Brent Metheny was the only Intimidator with a multi-hit game, going 2-4 with a pair of singles. Jake Stevens picked up his first save for Rome. Jamie Trejo supplied the offense for the Braves, going 3-4 with an RBI and a pair of doubles.

Kannapolis continues its 4-game series with Rome on Friday at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. Intimidators RHP Daniel Cortes opposes Rome's Asher Demme. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. 2005 Championship t-shirts will be handed out to the first 1,000 fans.
