Rome Emperors News Release

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves hosted the West Virginia Power tonight at State Mutual Stadium in game one of a four game series.

The Power jumped on David Filak early drawing four walks, two bases hits, and scoring three runs before he ever recorded an out. Filak was relieved by Wilson Rivera who inherited three runners all of which later scored to give West Virginia the first inning 6-0 lead.

Rome scored one in the bottom of the first after Ross Heffley doubled and Robby Hefflinger doubled him home to make it 6-1.

After a scoreless second by both teams, the game was suspended due to inclement weather. Tonight's game is scheduled to be finished tomorrow at 5 pm followed by a seven inning game.

Fans holding tickets for tonight's game may exchange them for any future regular season game in 2012. For ticket information, contact the Rome Braves at 706-378-5144 or log onto www.romebraves.com.
