
Brandon Inge to Throw out First Pitch on Thursday

Lynchburg, Va. - The Lynchburg Hillcats, A-Advanced affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, are excited to announce that former Major League player Brandon Inge will be throwing out the first pitch on Thursday, April 26 against the Winston-Salem Dash.
Inge, a Lynchburg native, is raising money for his alma mater of Brookville High School after the team's baseball field was destroyed by the recent tornado. In addition to throwing out the first pitch, Inge will accept a $2,000 check from La Carreta of Timberlake Road on behalf of the Brookville Bees Baseball Club.
The 13-year MLB veteran will spend the first few innings of Thursday's game posing with fans for photos and signing autographs.
The Hillcats will be hosting a tornado relief 50/50 raffle on Thursday, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Brookville Bees Baseball Club. Tickets will be $5 for an arms length and $10 for a body length.
Inge, who attended Virginia Commonwealth University, spent 11 of his 13 Major League seasons with the Detroit Tigers. He hit 152 career home runs and drove in 648 runs, while playing in 1,532 games.
The Lynchburg Hillcats are inviting all first responders and volunteers of the tornado relief efforts to watch the Hillcats take on the Winston-Salem Dash for FREE on Thursday.
All first responders and volunteers can pick up a free ticket to the game at the City Stadium box office. Additionally, MedExpress Urgent Care will be providing each first responder and volunteer with a free hot dog upon entry to the game. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
It will also be Thirsty Thursday, featuring $2 Miller Lite and Yuengling drafts.
