Brahmas Take Loss in Odessa 7-3

Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (March 1)- What seemed to be a great start for Brahmas newest addition Dylan Stanley was ultimately a meltdown for the Texas bench as they fell 7-3 to the Odessa Jackalopes on the road.

The Brahmas were up 2-0 to begin the game with goals from Chad Woollard and Stanley one minute apart. Woollard ‚¬â„¢s goal marked his 13th straight game with a point. The Jackalopes fired back with a pair of goals before the first intermission.

Odessa ‚¬â„¢s offense continued to play strongly as Jeff Pierce and Kevin Seibel beat Wayne Savage between the pipes in the second period, giving way for Savage ‚¬â„¢s early exit and Scott Reid ‚¬â„¢s introduction to the game. The Jacks tested Reid as well as they netted three back-to-back-to-back goals on the backup in the final frame. Stanley bookended his night as a Brahma with a second goal at the 18:28 marker in the third, but the goal had no redemption for a lackluster Texas finish in the 7-3 loss.

Texas hosts the Allen Americans Friday (7:30 pm) on Cap Night. The first 1000 fans in attendance to Friday ‚¬â„¢s game will receive free Brahmas caps courtesy of ZuRoma Bar and Grill. On Saturday Texas plays the Laredo Bucks for a 7:30 pm faceoff. For ticket information please call (817) 336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com .
