Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - Things just were not going the Brahmas way Saturday night in Bossier City as they lost 4-1, ending their seven game winning streak. Brahmas defenseman Eric Lundberg recorded the lone goal for Texas.
Texas fell behind in the second period and were unable to make a strong comeback for the win. Texas, who leads the league in shorthanded goals, shot a goal past 'Bugs netminder Jon Horrell for their 13th of the season. Lundberg was credited with the goal that put the Brahmas within one shot of tying the game. Head Coach Dan Wildfong pulled goaltender Brett Jaeger for the extra attacker in the final minutes in the game, resulting in two empty net goals and a 4-1 final. Jaeger stopped 32 of 34 shots in the game.
The Brahmas will return home to prep for a rare morning game in Oklahoma City Tuesday at 10:35 AM. Friday is Ashley Furniture Youth Jersey Night at the NYTEX Sports Centre when the Brahmas take on the Odessa Jackalopes for a 7:05 PM start. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423.
