Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

WICHITA, Kansas - The Brahmas (10-9-3) lost to the Wichita Thunder by the score of 6-0 Friday night, falling to 0-3-0 versus the Thunder this season.

The Thunder took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission after rookie forward Greger Hanson deflected a Nathan Lutz wrister by Brahmas netminder Brad Fogal at 17:21.

Wichita opened up a commanding lead in the second period, finding the back of the net four times in the middle frame. Matt Summers and Kevin Young each added a score, while Todd Griffith notched two goals in the period.

With the Thunder already ahead 5-0, Hanson scored his second goal of the night, beating Fogal with a wrister inside the right post at the 15:05 mark of the third period.

Fogal fell to 6-6-1, making 20 saves on 26 shots in a losing effort. Kevin Regan, the reigning Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week, stopped all 22 shots he faced to pick up his 10th victory of the year. Regan's second shutout of 2012-2013 ties the league high this season, a mark previously held alone by Brahmas goalie Kristofer Westblom.

Fort Worth is back in action Saturday, December 15 as it hosts the Arizona Sundogs at 7:30pm at the NYTEX Sports Centre. The Brahmas and Thunder meet again Sunday, December 16 in North Richland Hills at 4:00pm.

The Brahmas have reduced individual ticket prices from a season ago, as well as lowering the price of full-season, half-season and 11-game ticket packages for the 2012-2013 season. For more ticket information, please contact a Brahmas sales representative at 817-336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
