San Angelo Colts News Release

SAN ANGELO, Texas---When Bradley Goldsmith was traded to the San Angelo Colts, during the United League offseason, Doc Edwards projected him as a starter in the outfield. The Southern Illinois Miners, in exchange, received a player to be named later; the trade has officially come full circle as the centerfielder returned to his former team.

Goldsmith leaves for the Frontier League after batting .302 with 10 RBI in 116 plate appearances with the Colts.

The first time that a baseball player was traded for himself was in 1962. Cleveland Indians player, Harry Chiti, was sent to the New York Mets. After 15 games with the expansion team, the Mets traded Chiti back to Cleveland as the "Player to be named later."
