The Mussels leveled the game in the fourth with a three-spot and then grabbed the lead in the fifth when an unearned run came into score on a wild pitch to put Ft. Myers ahead 4-3 entering the back half of the game.
Bradenton quickly responded to take the lead back in the top of the sixth, first tying the contest with a sac fly from De Los Santos before Omar Alfonzo clutched up with his second RBI single of the night to make it 5-4 in favor of the good guys.
The Marauders tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the seventh with a sacrifice fly from Juan Jerez and a two-out run-scoring single off the bat of Garret Forrester to make it 7-4 with two and a half innings to go.
The Mussels threatened late, but the combined bullpen efforts of Landon Tomkins, Patrick Reilly, and Darvin Garcia carried the Marauders all the way to a 7-4 win to seal at least a series split in Fort Myers with two games still to go.
