
Brad Peacock Wins Pitcher of the Week

Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Senators are pleased to announce that pitcher Brad Peacock has been named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the period of April 18th - April 24th. Peacock becomes the first player to win the weekly award for the Sens this year.
The 23-year old started one game for the Senators last week, and posted a record of 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA over 7.1 innings pitched. The 6'1", 175 lb. hurler made his only appearance of the week on Friday night against the Trenton Thunder at Metro Bank Park. He gave up just three hits and did not allow a walk while striking out nine batters over 7.1 shutout innings Harrisburg's 3-2 victory to improve his record to 2-1 on the season.
Peacock, who is a native of Miami, Florida, has a record of 2-1 with 21 strikeouts and a 1.59 ERA in three appearances for the Senators this season. He is tied for third in the league in strikeouts, tied for fourth in wins and eighth in ERA. Brad entered the season rated by Baseball America as the 10th best prospect in the Washington organization after he combined for a record of 6-11 with 148 strikeouts and a 4.50 ERA in 26 games between Class-A Potomac and Harrisburg last season.
He was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 41st round of the 2006 draft out of Palm Beach Central High School in Wellington, Florida.
