Jersey Shore BlueClaws News Release
LAKEWOOD, NJ - Phillies reliever Brad Lidge will make his third rehab appearance with the BlueClaws tonight at FirstEnergy Park. The BlueClaws and Kannapolis Intimidators will play a double-header that starts at 6:05.
Lidge has thrown scoreless innings with Lakewood on both Monday and Thursday rehabbing a right rotator cuff strain that has had him on the disabled list all season. His two appearances this week were his first of the year.
Lidge has started his first two appearances with Lakewood but tonight is scheduled to come out of the bullpen.
He has 99 saves in three years with the Phillies and 222 over his nine-year big league career. He was acquired in a trade from the Astros in November of 2007.
BlueClaws players, including Lidge, will be wearing special BruceClaws jerseys on Saturday for Springsteen Appreciation Night at FirstEnergy Park. The jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit BlueClaws Charities.
