Seattle, WA - Jeremy Boyer and Josh Schappert had goals to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 2-1 victory over the Kamloops Blazers Saturday night in front of 3,098 at KeyArena.

The Blazers outshot the T-Birds 10-9 in a scoreless first period. Seattle took a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 18:11 of the second period. Greg Scott and Boyer worked the puck out of the right corner to Thomas Hickey at the right point. Hickey made a pass across the blue line to Prab Rai. As Hickey was making the pass Boyer curled off the right boards and into the right circle. Rai quickly sent Hickey's pass to Boyer who put a snap shot into the left upper corner of the net past Kamloops goalie Justin Leclerc.
The goal was Boyer's fourth goal in the last two games. He had a hat trick on Friday night in the 6-2 victory over the Tri-City Americans.

Juuso Puustinen scored at 2:38 of the third period to tie the game 1-1. Ivan Rohac and Brock Nixon had the assists.
Schappert put the T-Birds in front 2-1 at 5:18 of the third when he scored on a breakaway. Defenseman Brenden Dillon found Schappert streaking down the right side behind the Kamloops defense. Schappert came in on Leclerc and beat him high on the glove side for his second goal of the year.
Seattle outshot Kamloops 11-7 in the third period and finished the game with a 29-25 advantage in shots.
