Bowie Winds Over Harrisburg

September 13, 2023 - Eastern League (EL)
Harrisburg Senators News Release

Bowie hit four home runs Wednesday night on their way to a 7-4 win over the Harrisburg Senators Wednesday night at FNB Field. Both teams scored twice in the first inning and the game looked like it might be a high scoring slugfest, but that didn't materialize. Bowie scored twice in the third and again in the fifth before the Senators plated two runs in the sixth to make it a one run game. Bowie put the game away with two runs in the ninth inning.

The Big Play

Conor Pavolony hit a two-run home run in the ninth inning, the fourth home run of the game for Bowie, to put the Baysox on top 7-4.

Both teams went 2-for-5 with runners in scoring position... Bowie hit four home runs in the game, and they have six in the first two games of the series... It was the second time this season the Sens have allowed four home runs in a game... Bowie is still in the race for the second half playoff spot, but one loss by Bowie in the remaining four games, or one win by Richmond in Erie, eliminates the Baysox.

On the Docket

The Senators and Bowie Baysox play game three of their six-game series Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The game is available on MILB TV.
