The Boulders (31-28) picked up their second straight win on Friday night as they topped the Capitals (35-24) 8-3. Both teams combined for 12 walks in the effort. Two of the three runners that scored for Quebec got on base via a walk. Their other one came in the first when Killian Sams singled and then later scored on an RBI base knock.
Rockland on the other hand scored in four different innings. Kevin Krause, who was two for three with two RBI's went yard to lead off the second. He ended up driving in another run the next inning on an RBI single. In the proceeding frame, JC Rodriguez took the seventh pitch of a 2-2 count over the bleachers in left. They'd go on to score three more in the seventh, and two in the eighth before Hansen worked a one-two-three ninth for the win.
The Boulders lead the league with 92 homers on the year. They're 25 away from breaking the Canam League record they set last year of 125.
The two play the third of a four game set tomorrow night at 6:30pm EST.
