Boulders Prepare to Welcome 500,000th Fan

(RAMAPO, N.Y.) - As proof of the team's ever growing popularity, the Rockland Boulders are preparing to welcome their 500,000th fan to Provident Bank Park in just its fourth season. While who the fan is, and when they will arrive, is still a mystery, a celebration is already in the works as the anticipated date is forecast for the weekend of July 18 to 20 when the Boulders host the Lincoln Saltdogs.

"Time flies, especially when your 'job' - if you can even call it a job - is to provide affordable family entertainment to the Lower Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey," said Ken Lehner, Boulders President. "Instead of singling out one fan, we wish we could personally thank all 500,000 fans to date. However, we believe the lucky winner will be a good ambassador for both the Boulders organization and all of the fans that have entered Provident Bank Park since the grand opening in 2011."

As part of the celebration, Mercedez-Benz of Nanuet, Dave & Buster's, and Verizon have all joined in and will be giving away special prizes. Mercedez-Benz will be donating a $500 gift card to be used for accessories within their store. Dave & Buster's will also be giving a "Power Card" with 500 chips for gaming as well as 500 tickets to redeem for prizes at their winners circle.

Verizon has agreed to give our 500,000th fan, along with nine friends, the use of their luxury suite on August 3, complete with $500 worth of food. Outside of Boulders baseball, Verizon will give our lucky fan two tickets to the Beach Boys concert at Provident Bank Park on August 12. The Rockland Boulders will also add to the "prize pack", giving a $500 gift card for Food & Beverage at the ballpark, along with a pair of season tickets for the next 500 home games.

On the day the 500,000th fan arrives, they will be able to throw out the first pitch and take part in the lineup card exchange, courtesy of Verizon. The celebration continues as our lucky fan will receive a new Boulders cap and a commemorative team jersey to honor them. As an added experience, the 500,000th fan will also will take part in a meet and greet with manager Jamie Keefe. When they return on August 3, our 500,000th fan will get a special behind the scenes tour of the ballpark with Seth Cantor, the "Voice of the Boulders", complete with joining Seth for an inning of broadcasting on the Boulders Broadcast Network.

The Boulders return home on Fri., July 11 when they begin a three-game series with Trois-Rivieres. That begins a stretch where Rockland is home for 10 of 13 games. As always, fans can purchase tickets in advance by calling (845) 364-0009 or slide to www.RocklandBoulders.com .
