Boulders Fall 8-0 in Matinee with Quebec
August 7, 2018 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
New York Boulders News Release
Rockland couldn't get their bats going at all this afternoon falling 8-0 to the Quebec Capitales.
After Trey Haley retired the side in the first inning, Frankie Moscatello entered the game in the second and allowed four runs on seven hits over three innings.
During the second inning, the Boulders recorded one of the most bizarre fly-outs in baseball. Maxx Tissenbaum hit a fly ball just in front of home plate. The ball was originally misplayed by both Jason Agresti's and Frankie Moscatello and would land in Mikael Mogues' glove. The play was recorded as a 2-1-3 putout.
Kevin Krause was able to extend his hit streak to 11 games and has reached base safely in 13 consecutive games. Jared McDonald recorded the other hit for the Boulders in the loss.
The Boulders return home tomorrow night at 7:00pm in the final game with Quebec.
