Quebec 8, Rockland 0
Quebec starting pitcher Jay Johnson and two relievers combined on a two-hit shutout as the Capitales downed Rockland, 8-0.
Johnson tossed the first seven innings of the contest allowing only two hits and two walks while striking out five in 99 pitches. The bullpen duo of Andrew Elliott and Lachlan Fontaine each threw an inning of relief and struck out two batters. Johnson notched the win and is now 5-1 on the season.
Quebec banged out 12 hits in the contest with eight batters collecting at least one. Capitales CF Kalian Sams went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI while 1B Zach Wilson scored a pair of runs and drove in one in a 1-for-5 day. Catcher Maxx Tissenbaum also chipped in two hits for Quebec.
