New York Boulders News Release
The Rockland Boulders (37-40) lost 1-0 to the Trois-Rivieres Aigles (47-30) 10-4 on Wednesday night from Stade Stereo Plus in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada.
The Boulders were unable to get much going against Aigles starter Brandon Barker, who gave up just two unearned runs in his 5.2 innings of work. Les Aigles jumped ahead 3-0 after five innings on RBIs from Michael Suchy, Anthony Hermelyn and Raphael Gladu. The Boulders got two of the three runs back in the top of the sixth inning on a two-run single from Grant Heyman. Richie Fecteau and Matt Oberste chipped in RBI singles in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, but the Trois-Rivieres offense was too much to overcome.
Rockland starter Reinaldo Lopez gave up three runs in five innings.
After tonight's game, the Boulders and Aigles will face off once more on Thursday night starting at 7 p.m. from Stade Stereo Plus. After tomorrow's game, the Boulders return home for a weekend series against the Sussex County Miners at Palisades Credit Union Park starting on Friday night at 7 p.m.
