ASHWAUBENON, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah are on the road on Sunday in Wisconsin Rapids to take on the Rafters.
Green Bay enters the ballgame off a 15-8 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks. After watching a 3-0 lead slip out of their hands, the Booyah kept the difference within reach and in the seventh inning, the bats exploded. 10 men came to the dish in the inning and Green Bay scored five runs, capped off by Jake Berg's (Jacksonville) grand slam to right field.
The Booyah collected 18 hits in the win at Capital Credit Union Park. The Booyah improved to 11-22 on the season with three games left in the first half of the season.
Evan Estridge (Clemson) is slated to start for the Booyah. He is 2-3 on the season with a 7.29 ERA. Estridge has pitched 21 innings and has struck out 25 batters while walking just 11.
Wyatt Thompson will start for the Rafters. He is 1-0 on the season with a 1.50 ERA in two games. He went up against the Booyah on June 23. He went five innings, allowing three hits and striking out nine at Capital Credit Union Park.
The Green Bay Booyah will be back at Capital Credit Union Park on Monday to take on the Rafters. First pitch is scheduled for 12:05 pm.
