AVON, OHIO - The opener of a three-game series between the top two teams in the Central Division, the Schaumburg Boomers and Lake Erie Crushers, has been rained out in Ohio due to consistent rain.
The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 4:05pm Central, the third doubleheader of the year for the Boomers, who swept Evansville in a pair of games last Sunday to cap the opening series of the roadtrip. The games will be the first of the year between the two clubs, who are separated by just a half game in the Central Division standings. Lake Erie was rained out for the third time this week.
