Bombers Win on Walk-off Walk

BATTLE CREEK, MI- Jeremy Shay (Bowling Green drew a bases loaded walk to score the winning run and the Bombers walked off at C.O. Brown Stadium with a 4-3 win over the Lakeshore Chinooks on Sunday evening. They won the final two games of the series to take it 2-1.

Alex Tukey (Minnesota 2-1) picked up the win out of the bullpen for the Bombers, pitching a scoreless ninth with a strikeout. Tom Marra was also outstanding in relief for Battle Creek, going fixe strong innings and allowing just two unearned runs with three strikeouts. Casey Mulholland (Ole Miss) went the first three, giving up a single unearned run. He struck out three.

Lakeshore was short on pitching, so they had to use three different position players on the mound. They surrendered just three hits to Battle Creek, but walked 11. Sam Koenig was charged with the loss.

Battle Creek welcomes in the Green Bay Bullfrogs for a brief two-game series beginning Monday night at C.O. Brown Stadium. Righthander Dylan Rheault (Central Michigan) gets the call for the Bombers. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
