
Bullfrogs Bats Go Silent in Series' Second Game

One night after earning their first victory of the season, the "ËFrogs came back to Green Bay and dropped game two of a three game set to the Chucks, 9-2.
Wisconsin got its bats going early, scoring in each of the first four innings. Chevas Numata hit the first home run of the year at Joannes Stadium, a solo shot down the left field line. The biggest blow was a Brian Smith three-run home run in the top half of the third. This gave Wisconsin a 6-0 lead.
Green Bay starter Joel Klock settled in as the game continued, holding the "ËChucks scoreless in the fifth and sixth innings. He struck out eight Wisconsin batters on the night.
Green Bay broke into the scoring column in the seventh inning. Taylor Johnson singled and advanced to third on an error to lead off, and then came into score when Ransom LaLonde grounded into a double play.
The "ËFrogs tacked on their second run of the game in the ninth, when Brian Celsi scored on a wild pitch. Neither of the two Green Bay runs were batted in.
The rubber match of the series is tomorrow afternoon at 1:05. Robb Woodcock will get the start on the mound for Green Bay, as they look to take the series. The featured promotion is Bark in the Park, bring your dog out to The Jo for an afternoon of baseball! Tickets are still available.
