FrogVille, WI - June 7th, 2011 - Suamico native AJ Gaura had a quality start on Wednesday, but the Bullfrogs were shutout for the first time this season 4-0 against the Battle Creek Bombers at home. With the loss, the Bombers earn the series victory as the Bullfrogs fall to 5-3.

The Bullfrogs made it exciting in the bottom of the ninth. Green Bay's first two hitters struck out against Kristian Calibuso before Ryan Shilter reached on an infield single. Chris Migani roped a base knock into center field, and then Cameron Dullnig reached after he was hit by a pitch in the leg to load the bases for the top of the order. However, Calibuso kept his season long scoreless streak alive after he induced a ground ball by Nick Stein to end the game.

A J Gaura started the game a little shaky allowing the first two hitters to reach with a pair of singles. Ryne Otis would drive in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly. In the third, Jordan Dean scored after he led the second inning off with a base hit and was bunted into scoring position. Troy White picked up his fourth RBI of the series with a single to make it a two run lead. The only other run that Gaura allowed came into score in the fifth inning on a passed ball. Gaura threw six innings, allowing three runs, no walks while striking out four. All seven hits he surrendered were singles.

Troy Forton pitched a gem for Battle Creek. He allowed just six hits while striking out five in seven innings to earn his first win of the year. The Bullfrogs had just one scoring chance coming in the seventh inning. With one out, the 'Frogs had three consecutive base hits by Ty Filliben, Robert Williams and Chris Migani. However, Forton got out of the jam with a 4-6-3 double play to preserve the lead.

It is the first series loss for Green Bay this season. The 'Frogs will head on the road for five games the rest of this week and through the weekend. They first visit the 2010 Northwoods league champions for two games on Thursday and Friday both starting at 6:35 pm. Green Bay then travels to Iowa for a three game series with the Waterloo Bucks.
