5 More Loggers Selected on Day 3 of MLB Draft, 17 Taken in All

LA CROSSE, WI - The La Crosse Loggers, a ninth-year franchise in the Northwoods League, had five more former players selected on day number three of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft bringing their total to 17 players taken overall in the entire draft.
Calvin Drummond, a right-handed pitcher from the University of San Diego, started things off today by going in the 34th Round to the Washington Nationals.
Austin Lubinsky (Minnesota) became the second La Crosse Logan alum to be drafted this year, following Tony Mueller, when he went in the 36th Round to San Francisco.
Cole Brocker (Sac City) then went in the 39th Round to Detroit, followed by Nick Baligod (Oral Roberts)
to Toronto in the 40th and right-hander Stayton Thomas to Tampa Bay in the 43rd .
These five joined twelve former Loggers who were drafted a day earlier.
