Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
WINNIPEG, MB â The Winnipeg Blue Bombers ensured some continuity at the quarterback position today with the signing of QBs Tee Martin and Spergon Wynn to contract extensions.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
"It's important at the quarterback position to be able to secure two fine young prospects like Tee and Spergon to longer-term extensions," said Bombers G.M. Brendan Taman.
Martin (6-2, 225, DOB: July 25, 1978 in Mobile, AL) joined the Bombers Sept. 9, 2004 after being released by the Oak Raiders. He dressed for seven games as a member of the Bombers in 2004. He played his college football at Tennessee.
Wynn (6-3, 226, DOB: Aug. 10, 1978) was acquired by the Blue and Gold in an April 13, 2005 trade with the B.C. Lions for a conditional draft pick in the 2006 CFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Leos prior to joining the Bombers. Prior to that, he played for both the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns of the NFL.
