Bombers Fall at Division-Leading Cincinnati 2-1

CINCINNATI, OH -- The Dayton Bombers give up the game winning goal on a shorthander in the third period to lose to Cincinnati 2-1 Saturday night at U.S. Bank Arena.

The Bombers got the first goal of the game at 7:00 of the first on Nino Musitelli's 15th of the year. Assists went to Christian Gaudet and Greg Labenski. It was 1-0 after one.

Cincinnati would tie it up on Mike Salekin's power play goal at 7:27 of the second.

The Cyclones got the game winner at 10:52 of the third on Ben Gordon's shorthanded goal for the 2-1 final.

Bombers' goalie David Shantz knocked away 23 of 25 attempts while Cincinnati's Ryan Nye was 25 of 26 on saves.

The Bombers are home Wednesday night against Elmira with a 7:30 p.m. face-off. The game can be heard on 980 WONE and the B2 Networks beginning at 7:15 p.m.
