
Bombers and students team up for CancerCare MB

WINNIPEG, MB - Grade 8 students at Charleswood Jr. High played the Blue Bombers today in a friendly game of basketball in front of over 475 students to raise money for CancerCare Manitoba.
Students wishing to watch the entertaining game purchased a NEVER ALONE bracelet for 5.00 dollars with all proceeds going to CancerCare MB.
Charleswood Jr. High presented Lyle Bauer, President & CEO of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers a cheque for 2,400.00 dollars for CancerCare MB from the sales of the NEVER ALONE bracelets.
Fans wishing to purchase NEVER ALONE bracelets can do so for 5.00 dollars at the Bomber Office, 1465 Maroons Road. Office hours are 9-5 Monday to Friday.
The Winnipeg Football Club was also proud to announce in February that the CFL Coach of the Year Luncheon raised 25,000 dollars in support of CancerCare MB.
