MISSOULA, Mont. - In a duel between two starters, Missoula's Tyler Bolton picked up the win with his best performance of the season in a 4-0 shutout of Helena, the second time this year the Osprey have shutout the Brewers at Ogren Park Allegiance Field.

Bolton (4-3) went seven innings and gave up just two singles with no walks and a pair of strikeouts. His defense was key, with only two fly outs recorded. The defense turned three double plays in the game, including a Fernery Ozuna- Sergio Alcantara- Trevor Mitsui combination to end the game.

Kevin Simmons earned his second save of the season with three hits and a strikeout over the final two innings.

The Osprey (4-3, 21-24) scored first in the seventh inning thanks to a Tyler Humphreys RBI double off the right field wall and a Sergio Alcantara sacrifice fly to left field. Two more runs scored an inning later off a Stewart Ijames groundout and a wild pitch. Trevor Mitsui would score on the latter apart of his 3-4 game with two doubles. Fernery Ozuna had two hits and Justin Williams went 1-3 to create a 27-game hit streak.

Helena (3-4, 16-29) starter Cy Sneed pitched shutout baseball through five innings off five hits, two walks, and three strikeouts. Wesley Cox gave up a hit in the sixth inning before turning over to Luis Ortega (3-5), who suffered the loss with four earned runs off five hits in two innings.

Missoula ends its six-game homestand tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. against the Helena Brewers. Tickets for all Osprey games are available at the MSO Hub Box Office, by phone at (406) 543-3300 and online at MissoulaOsprey.com.
