Wilmington Sharks News Release

Alec Bohm (Wichita State) hit two home runs to center and provided the boost the Wilmington Sharks (4-6) needed to snap their three game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Wilson Tobs (4-6)

The first of Bohm's two home runs came in the second inning with a runner on. His home run went to deep center and gave the Sharks a 2-0 advantage. Later in the inning, Chris Graham (UNC-Greensboro) drove Matt Meeder (Mercer) home from second on a single to left.

Trailing 3-0, the Tobs struck back in the fourth inning when Justin Bellinger (Duke) hit an RBI single to right. Bellinger brought home another with an RBI single in the seventh inning. Needing some insurance, Alec Bohm did it in a big way with a solo home run in the eighth inning to make the score 4-2. The Tobs had chances in the last two innings, but Ryan Kelly (St. Joseph's) struck out four to get the six out save.

The win went to Mike Castellani (3-1). He tossed seven innings, allowed four hits, two runs, one walk and struck out six. Jake Lewis (1-1) took the loss, pitching five and a third innings and surrendering five hits and three runs while walking two and striking out one. Ryan Kelly (2) picked up his second save. He threw two innings and allowed two hits, one run and struck out one in his six out save.

The Sharks travel to Savannah on Saturday, before getting two days off. They'll be back home on Tuesday to host Morehead City, during which it'll be Taco Tuesday.
