
Grizzlies' Comeback Falls Short

The Grizzlies drop one to the Florence RedWolves, 4-3. The game remained scoreless until the 4th, when Joseph Burns doubled in Zachary Files for a 1-0 lead. Robert Jolly scored Burns on a single, and later, Reece Hampton would single home Jolly and Ryan Sinzenich. Gastonia rallied for 3 in the 5th with Jackson Mims' RBI single and both Jake Barbee and Zach Featherstone scoring on passed balls. Florence made the score hold up as Tom Coletti notched his second save of the season.
Looking ahead on the schedule, the Grizzlies travel to Lexington County tomorrow to take on the Blowfish. Next Week, they'll head to Savannah on Wednesday for a Doubleheader with the Bananas, before returning home for the Blowfish, on Thursday and a visit from the Bananas on Saturday for the 1st Annual Great Gastonia BBQ Festival. As for Florence, the RedWolves welcome the Holly Springs Salamanders to Sparrow Stadium tomorrow and will begin a busy week of play, starting with a visit to McCrary Park and the Asheboro Copperheads.
