Boeing Military Appreciation Night Returns

[Macon, Ga.]--The Macon Trax will be supporting the United States Military in the Boeing Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 7:35 pm when the Jacksonville Barracudas come to town. Active members of the military will be offered a very special ticket price of five dollars. Members must have their Military ID when purchasing tickets to receive the discounted price.

The Trax will select military members to take part in the fun and exciting intermission games where they will be eligible to win great prizes.

"I can't wait to have the interaction with the military personnel during the intermission activities," Media Relations Director/Broadcaster Adam Minnick said. "Military fans bring a super charged atmosphere to any games they attend and we know how special they are to this country's freedom."

Following the action packed game, there will be a jersey auction. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase their favorite player's special patriotic jersey. Unlike the past years, the game-worn jerseys will not be camouflage. Instead, the Trax have chosen a sweater that has some of the symbols that represented the United States of America.

"We hope to pack the Centreplex with members of the U.S. Military on the 17th," General Manager Joe Suk said. "This is just a small way the Trax can show our appreciation for all the men and women serving in the United States military from Middle Georgia."

Tickets for this great night can be purchased at the Trax office by calling 478-742-4849. The Trax start a six-game home stand, Friday night against the Barracudas. The puck drops at 7:35 pm. Fans can also come to the Centreplex Saturday or Sunday. The Trax drop the puck versus Lakeland at 7:35 pm on Jan. 10 and again at 4:05 pm against Alabama on Jan. 11.
