WHA2 Celebrates Faith Nights

CELEBRATION, Fla. – The World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) today announced that fans will be able to celebrate "Faith Night" with several WHA2 teams.

"Faith nights have always been a popular game night in many of our cities." WHA2 Chairman of the Board of Governors David Waronker said. "We wanted to continue the tradition and give families the opportunity to spend a great night out at a hockey game."

Ardent Records recording artists, Brother's Keeper, will perform a free concert for hockey fans attending any of the Faith Night games.

"We're excited about partnering with the WHA2 for the Faith Nights!" Mike Graham, Brother's Keeper's agent said. "We've worked with Joe Fellini in the past and had great events. We are looking forward to the same with the WHA2."

On January 9, the Alabama will hold their Faith Night at Pelham Civic Complex when the Slammers take on the Miami Manatees. The game starts at 7:05pm CST.

Later in the month, the Orlando Seals will hold their Faith Night on January 30 when the Lakeland Loggerheads come to town. Puck drop is 7:35pm. The Jacksonville Barracudas have set March 5 as their night. The Barracudas will take on the Orlando Seals for a 7:05pm game. Rounding out the Faith Night tour, Macon will be having their night late in March, confirmed date to follow at a later time.

The WHA2 has six member teams for the 2003 – 2004 season: the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, Miami Manatees, and Orlando Seals. Each team will play a 60-game schedule. Every game will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.
