Orlando – The Orlando Seals hammered 45 shots on Alabama goaltender Fred Beaubien but still could not catch the Slammers who ran away with a 4-1 decision Thursday night at the TD Waterhouse Centre.

The Seals only goal came on a chip shot by B.J. Stephens from his knees in the second period. Stephens' goal, his sixteenth of the season from Jason Elders at 14:53, brought the Seals within one at 2-1 but the Slammers would never look back.

Alabama got a spectacular performance out of Ryan Prentice, who had 3 goals, 1 assist on the night. The Slammers also got a goal from Wade Paterson for the 4-1 decision.

The Seals take to the road Friday as they head to Lakeland to take on the Loggerheads at 7:05 pm. Orlando returns to the TD Waterhouse Centre for two more games this weekend, on Saturday against Jacksonville at 7:35 pm and then on Sunday against Lakeland at 4:05 pm.
