Bobcats split on the road with Helena
December 17, 2004 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Bismarck Bobcats News Release
The Bismarck Bobcats just can't seem to break out of the NAHL West Division cellar.
The Bobcats were impressive in a 5-2 victory over the Bighorns on Friday night. Brett Sobolik scored two power play goals for the 'Cats, while Ben Noah and Aaron Bendickson each added one goal and one assist. Scott Paul also tallied a short-handed goal in the second period to put Bismarck up to stay.
On Saturday night, the Bobcats could not overcome an early 2-0 deficit, dropping the series finale 2-1. Bismarck has lost six games by a lone goal, and once again missed a chance to hit the .500 mark.
Bismarck sits alone at the bottom of the NAHL West Division at 10-12-4 and play host Minnesota and Billings this Friday and Saturday, before hitting the road for a game against the Blizzard once again Sunday.
Although the Bobcats are in last place of the division, they sit only nine points out of a playoff spot.
