Colin Kingston: Jr. Blues king of the hill

December 17, 2004 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Springfield Jr. Blues News Release

Colin Kingston, pictured above, a Vail Colorado native, is in his second season with the Jr Blues. Coming into this season, coach Nick Pollos knew that Kingston would bring dynamic offensive ability to the Jr. Blues attack. But he brings much more.

"Colin is a gifted skater, with tremendous offensive ability. Colin has dedicated himself to being a complete player and that is evidenced by the fact that he is third on our team in hits. That is not a combination you often see, a high-skill first line player near the top of the list in hits," said Pollos

"I love playing in Springfield," says Kingston. "The fans are extremely devoted and loyal. In return, they ask that you work hard and give your best effort every night. That is the attitude that out team tries to maintain, and it works for us.

"It is going to be hard to leave Springfield at the end of the season. I will especially miss the Healy family, my billet family, who have been so supportive," Kingston added.

Through 25 games, Kingston has tallied nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points. Kingston has received interest from many excellent college hockey programs and is taking his time in deciding which program best fits him.

The Jr. Blues return to the ice Friday, December 17, for the annual home-and-home Christmas Cup series with the Springfield Spirit. For more information please visit the Jr. Blues official site.
