
Blizzard top Bobcats, 5-2

Thursday evening the Minnesota Blizzard Junior âA' hockey team traveled to Bismarck, ND and skated away to a 5-2 win over the Bismarck Bobcats. It was a History making night for Blizzard forward Ryan Hawkins he collects the first ever "Hat Trick" in the Minnesota Blizzard History he scored a couple of Power Play goals in each of the first two periods then iced the game with an "Empty Net" goal with just nine seconds left. The Blizzard out shot the Bobcats 31-30 in the game. Forward Dan Swanson scored the other two goals for Minnesota, which has now won three straight games, and currently in 2nd Place in the NAHL's Western Division. The Blizzard will be back on the ice in Fargo, ND Friday night.
