Bob Ferguson Named Assistant General Manager of Syracuse Crunch

Syracuse, NY (June 29, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have named Bob Ferguson the Assistant General Manager of the Crunch.

Ferguson, 55, is entering his third season in the Ducks' organization, where he previously served as the club's Assistant General Manager of its then AHL affiliate in Iowa during the 2008-09 season and as a scout during the 2009-10 campaign. He brings over 29 years of experience in a coaching or management capacity at the minor league and junior levels.

Ferguson has nine years of professional coaching experience with Indianapolis (IHL, 1995-98), Florida (ECHL, 1998-2001) and Augusta (ECHL, 2005-08), as well as 17 years of seasoning in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with Sioux City (1981-90) and Des Moines (1990-95 and 2001-04). During his time in the USHL, Ferguson won five (5) Clark Cup Championships and amassed 517 career wins, which ranks third all-time in league history.

In addition, Ferguson is a three-time Gold Cup winner (U.S. 'Junior A' National Champion), five-time USHL Coach of the Year, five-time USHL General Manager of the Year and two-time John Brophy award winner as the ECHL Coach of the Year.
