Boardwalk Bullies Trade Two to Baton Rouge for Defenseman

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the East Coast Hockey traded defenseman Jim Vickers and forward Mike Martiniello to the Baton Rouge Kingfish in exchange for blueliner Steve Cheredaryk, it was announced tonight by Bullies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Michael Haviland.

Rookie Vickers had nine points (2G, 7A) and was a plus-12 in 48 games with the Bullies this season. Martiniello, who joined the Bullies before last year's playoff run, had seven points (4G, 3A) and was a minus-2 in 30 games with the Bullies this year.

Selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the fourth round (82nd overall) in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, Cheredaryk has 19 points (6G, 13A) in 31 games with the Kingfish this year.

In nine professional seasons, the 27-year old from Calgary, Alberta, has played for five ECHL clubs and four AHL teams.
