Rough Night at the Alltel

The Arkansas RiverBlades gave up three goals in the first period, and three more in the second, and in the end, lost 7-1 to the Mississippi Sea Wolves 6-1 Saturday at Alltel Arena.

Kent Davyduke opened up the scoring at 1:59 for Mississippi, tallying his 16th of the year from Mike Scott.

Arkansas came right back at 7:53, as Matt Pagnutti lit the lamp for his 12th of the season.

However, Jim Baxter would again give the Sea Wolves the lead at 12:15, assisted by Steffon Walby and Derrick Byfuglien.

Former RiverBlade Darryl Campbell then extended the Mississippi lead to 3-1 at 18:21, with his 8th of the campaign set up by John Evangelista and Stu Pietersma.

Steffon Walby kicked off the 2nd period with his 33rd goal of the year, assisted by Kent Davyduke at 1:37.

Then, at 3:08, Darryl Campbell added his second of the game from Jeff Hutchins.

Mike Scott would then add his 14th of the year at 16:56 to close out the scoring in the second. Assists went to Austin Miller and Sergei Kuznetsov.

Travis Lisabeth went on to tally the only goal of the third period, getting his 14th of the season at 6:03, from Steffon Walby to set the final at 7-1. Arkansas outshot Mississippi 25-20 for the game, and was 1-for-3 on the power-play. The Sea Wolves were 1-for-2.
