Kingfish acquire Adams and Bell

The Baton Rouge Kingfish announced today that they have acquired Chris Bell and cash in a trade with the Greensboro Generals in exchange for Bryan Richardson and Mike Oliveira. In a separate transaction, the Kingfish dealt defenseman Trevor Demmans to the Columbia Inferno in exchange for Erik Adams and cash.

Bell, a native of Chase, B.C., played in 51 games with the Greensboro Generals this season where he tallied 15 goals and 20 assists for 35 points. The six-foot, 200-pound center amassed 50 points last season with the Generals in 66 games.

During the 2000-01 season, Bell played in 14 games between the Mobile Mysticks and the New Orleans Brass, while he spent a majority of the season with the Amarillo Rattlers of the Western Professional Hockey League.

Adams, a rookie out of the University of Denver, accumulated 38 points in four seasons in college. In 54 games this season with the Inferno, the Thunder Bay, Ontario native has picked up 3 goals and 21 assists for 24 points.

In the only meeting with the Inferno this season, Adams tallied two assists in Columbia's 4-2 win over the Kingfish.
