The Blues were able to take both games in the doubleheader that was played last night, July 8, at Muzzy Field in Bristol between the Blues and Connecticut rival Torrington Titans.
In Game 1, the Blues handled the Titans with ease, taking the rival down by a score of 3-1 in seven innings, the shortened game was due to the doubleheader. The Blues were led by a two RBI performance from Gerrad Rohan and pitcher Dominic LoBrutto was able to go five innings allowing only one run on four hits. Robert Paccione earned the save when he got the last two outs of the game and lowered his season ERA to .52 on the season. Losing pitcher for the Titans was Robbie Hitt.
