Blues Return Home to Face Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 Saturday Night

IRVINE, Calif (June 26, 2015) - After three weeks and two matches on the road, Orange County Blues FC (5-6-1, 16 pts) returns home to UCI's Anteater Stadium Saturday night to host Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (4-7-4, 16 pts). Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.

This is the second meeting between the two squads this season. OC defeated WFC2 on Sunday, April 12th, 2-0 behind goals from Didier Crettenand and Amani Walker. Vancouver was reduced to 10 men after Ethen Sampson received his second yellow card in the 34th minute.

The Blues are coming off a tough road trip to Colorado, falling 5-0 to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Wednesday night. Vancouver defeated Portland Timbers 2 on Sunday, June 21st at UBC's Thunderbird stadium, 3-2, with goals from, Ben McKendry, Marco Bustos, and Sampson. Bustos was named to the USL Team of the Week, as his goal was his first as a professional.

Both OC and Vancouver have 16 points on the season, and sit 9th and 10th in the Western Conference table, respectively, with the Blues leading on goal difference.
