OKC Energy FC (7-3-3) enters play off a 2-1 loss to Sacramento Republic FC last Saturday in Sac-ramento. Winners of five of its last six USL matches, OKC is currently in fifth place in the Western Conference, four points behind leading Sacramento. Energy FC forward Danni Konig hasscored goals in four straight games and has tallied at least a single point in five (includes two U.S. Open Cup matches). Prior to last Saturday's loss in Sacramento, OKC goal keeper Evan Newton record-ed four consecutive clean sheets in USL play.
Louisville City FC (5-3-5) hosts OKC off losses in its last two games and a 1-2-2 record in its last five. Both of Louisville's recent losses have come via shutout. Forward Matt Fondy leads the club with six goals and 14 points and was named USL Player of the Week on May 26.
Saturday's match marks the first-ever meeting between the two clubs and the only meeting of the 2015 season.
