
BlueClaws Roll to Win in Season's Final Game

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - The BlueClaws scored five times in the fifth inning and four times in the sixth en route to an 11-3 win on Sunday over Aberdeen at ShoreTown Ballpark in the final game of the 2022 season.
The BlueClaws finish the season with wins in five of their last seven games and took four of six from the IronBirds in the season's final series.
Aberdeen took the lead in the second on a home run by Heston Kjerstd before Jersey Shore tied the game in the bottom of the second inning on a SAC fly from Nick Matera.
The BlueClaws then batted around in the fifth inning for the second straight game. Today, they scored five times. Arturo De Freitas had an RBI double and Baron Radcliff a two-run single to highlight the inning. Jersey Shore added four more runs in the bottom of the sixth, including a two run single from Kendall Simmons and an RBI single from Rixon Wingrove.
Freylin Minyety had three hits and Rixon Wingrove had two hits in the win. Leandro Pineda, Baron Radcliff, and Kendall Simmons each drove in two runs.
Jersey Shore starter Dominic Pipkin (4-7) gave up one run in six innings, his longest outing of the season, to earn the win. Jonathan Hughes got the last three outs to finish off the victory.
