LAKEWOOD, NJ - The Lakewood BlueClaws and the American Red Cross will host a blood drive this Saturday, July 19, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. at FirstEnergy Park.
Each donor will be entered for a chance to win four tickets to a future Philadelphia Phillies game, valued at over $200. The first 120 donors will receive Jimmy Rollins MVP bobbleheads and all donors will receive a chance to win complimentary BlueClaws tickets, a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium as well as BlueClaws team autographed baseballs. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
All donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh over 110 pounds and be in good health. Those who would like to donate blood may set up an appointment at www.pleasegiveblood.org or by calling 1-(800) GIVE- LIFE.
"There is a critical need for blood in our area and this is a great opportunity to help the community," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "It's very important for the American Red Cross to get a large amount of blood to help those in need and we're happy to do our part by hosting this great event."
The BlueClaws have the most affordable ticket for professional baseball in New Jersey. Lakewood will return home for a two-game series starting on Saturday. Don't miss Red Sox legend Jim Rice when he visits FirstEnergy Park on Sunday June 29th to meet fans and sign autographs, thanks to Bob's Stores. For tickets or more information call 732-901- 7000 or visit the BlueClaws website at BlueClaws.com.
